Biography
Vincent R. Marcucci was born and raised along the Caloosahatchee River in Southwest Florida, where he fostered a deep connection with water. He began his career as a teenaged broadcast journalist intern, building early experience in listening and production.
Marcucci's passion for outdoor education grew during his part-time positions as an adventure trip leader and garden media coordinator with the University of Central Florida. There he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in film and environmental science.
Marcucci crafts personal stories that document struggle and growth across time, space, and species. His documentaries Split Oak (2019), Tales of Sunshine: Florida EcoStories (2022), and Garden of the Glades (2025) have received awards, television distribution, and national recognition.
Marcucci's curiosity led him on solo backpacking trips through Europe, Jordan, Indonesia, and across the U.S. where he practiced languages and volunteered as a media producer and team-building instructor. Over the years, Marcucci has lived low-budget and low-impact lifestyles out of a pickup truck, tent, backpack, boat, and by campfire under the stars.
His skills range from video production, outdoor leadership, non-violent communication, wilderness medicine, youth instruction, and marketing management. Marcucci now resides in New York City and works in a variety of contract-based roles.
